A named practitioner throughout
One consistent person who builds the relationship, co-ordinates with qualified teachers, and stays with your young person from the first session. A mentor, not a supply teacher.
Nudge Education Online is for young people who aren't in school — through anxiety, EBSNA, medical needs, SEND, or complex circumstances. Every learner gets a named practitioner. We offer full-time placements, short-term and transitional placements, and catch-up tuition. Connection comes first. Learning grows from there.
Nudge Education already supports young people across Local Authorities throughout the UK with a practitioner-led, relational model. Nudge Education Online wraps a structured online curriculum around that same approach — so learners get both the relationship and the qualifications.
One consistent person who builds the relationship, co-ordinates with qualified teachers, and stays with your young person from the first session. A mentor, not a supply teacher.
Monday to Thursday: four 45-minute live sessions via Google Meet, with scheduled breaks. Friday is Cornerstones Day — Relational Intelligence, Digital Skills, RSHE, SDG projects and creative work.
Pearson Edexcel International GCSEs with modular assessment, plus Functional Skills and ASDAN courses where appropriate. A Discovery Phase for learners who aren't yet ready for formal qualifications.
Live sessions are deliberately small so every learner is seen, heard and known — not lost in a virtual classroom.
Commissioners and families get real-time visibility on attendance, engagement and progress — updated after every session, not once a term.
Designated safeguarding lead, clear escalation routes, session-level logging. All policies published and available.
Nudge Education Online is for learners who find mainstream education inaccessible, unsafe or unsuitable — including those experiencing emotionally based school non-attendance, anxiety, medical conditions, unmet SEND needs, or complex home circumstances.
Learners don't need an EHCP to attend. We accept commissioned referrals from Local Authorities, placements through existing frameworks, or direct family applications.
Nudge Education Online launches in September 2026 as an online alternative provision for learners aged 11–18. Our first intakes are a Year 9 and a Year 10 cohort only — further year groups open progressively as the provision grows. We are taking steps to complete the voluntary Ofsted accreditation to be recognised by the DfE as an online school.
At launch, Nudge Education Online cannot be named on an EHCP. The legal arrangement and statutory responsibility for a young person stays with the Local Authority and their school. We work closely alongside both.
Our pedagogical framework. Not a list of values — a way of designing each day so that wellbeing and learning sit together, not one after the other.
Nudge Education is already a trusted partner to Local Authorities across the UK. Nudge Education Online extends that relationship with a structured online offer — KCSIE 2025-compliant, with real-time progress tracking and a named partnership lead for every commissioning authority.
The clearest way to understand Nudge Education Online is to come to an open session and bring your questions. Hosted by Kirstin Stevens, Director of Nudge Education Online. 45 minutes online, with real Q&A.
